Why is E-Gleam low odour rather than completely odour-free?
No additional artificial perfumes or masking agents have been added to E-Gleam, making the unique formula naturally low odour by default. A mild chemical presence does exist so it is technically not 100% odour-free, but unlike standard oven cleaners, it releases zero choking caustic lye fumes or overpowering chemical scents.
Are gloves required for use?
Yes. E-Gleam's is formulated without harsh chemicals but there is still an amount of caustics to help penetrate and dissolve grease effectively. We recommend using gloves to prevent skin from drying out after use.
Why is scrubbing not required, and can scrubbing damage results?
E-Gleam's is scientifically formulated to penetrate and dissolve grease over a 30-minute dwell period. Immediate scrubbing wipes the product away before it has time to break down. For extra heavy deposits, mild agitation after applying can assist breaking into any heavier carbon deposits.
Can E-Gleam be used on aluminium cooker hood filters or copper pans?
E-Gleam works with minor limitations on raw aluminium and copper. Soft copper and raw untreated aluminium may result in minor surface blemishes or dulling if left on too long. Limit dwell time to exactly 30 mins no longer and test a hidden patch first, and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Is the E-Gleam bottle fully recyclable?
Yes! E-Gleam is packaged in a 100% already-recycled bottle, promoting British innovation and sustainable manufacturing. Once empty, simply rinse the bottle and recycle it again through your standard council household recycling bin.
